The 2026 Nissan Versa is getting closer to its final debut which will happen next week, and for the moment, a handful of details emerged again which confirm the official details that it will bring forward, in terms of design and technology.

At first glance, this is a new design rather than a light refresh. The front and rear styling have been updated, and the images released so far make that clear, even if Nissan hasn’t dissected every visual change. The transformation is noticeable, though not dramatic, in a way that alters the Versa’s identity.

Interior and Technology

Inside is where the differentiation really begins to show. Versa is described by Nissan as “the most technologically advanced sedan in its class.” However, this statement leans somewhat heavily on the higher trims. The difference is that the lower ones will use analogue gauges, while the higher ones will come fully digital.

Also, climate controls appear straightforward, almost basic, and while there are silver accents and a flat-bottom steering wheel to sharpen the look slightly, the contrast between trims is obvious.

The entry-level Sense trim comes with a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with standard safety features such as Forward collision warning and emergency braking with pedestrian detection. On the other hand, the Sense CVT can be had with cruise control, an engine start/stop button, a shark fin antenna, automatic door locks, or rear parking sensors.

Step into the Advance trim, and things start to feel more layered. It appears to introduce a 7-inch digital instrument cluster along with a four-speaker audio system and what looks like an around view monitor. Welcome lighting and 16-inch aluminum wheels also come into play here.

The Exclusive trim moves further. It features a 12.3-inch infotainment system paired to an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system. A wireless smartphone charger joins the equipment list, along with lane-departure prevention and blind-spot intervention. That is clearly where Nissan concentrates its headline features.

Powertrain

The 2026 Nissan Versa has a flat-four 1.6-liter engine with a good output of 118 horsepower and 149 Nm of torque under the hood. The model comes in both manual and CVT versions, with power sent to the front wheels.

Further details will be provided when the new Nissan Versa officially debuts next week, but, at least, according to the already confirmed info, the new model will not be trying to reinvent the mechanical aspect but rather be founded on the new technology already introduced by the Nissan Group on the majority of its new models.
