The F-Series still leads Ford’s volume story, even with output below 160 thousand units in the quarter. Aluminum shortages tied to Novelis hit production hard, especially across core truck lines. General Motors and Stellantis faced similar pressure, though Ford still kept the title of America’s favorite truck manufacturer. Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra together moved beyond 204 units, giving General Motors strength across two separate nameplates.
Ford continues selling the 2026 F-150 with a broad mechanical spread. The XL starts at $39,330 and pairs with the 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost. Above sit STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor grades. Buyers then move through the 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid, the 5.0-liter V8 for standard versions, plus the 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 5.2-liter supercharged V8 reserved for Raptor derivatives.
Outside the official lineup, one digital project suggests another direction. A virtual artist known online as “jlord8” assembled a speculative truck called Expedition Sport Trac, using fresh Expedition styling across an F-150 body. The concept places itself between Tremor and Raptor territory, leaning toward an off-road-focused identity.
The creator explains the idea in direct form, saying the refreshed Expedition sport utility vehicle “has a nice front clip, so here’s an F-150” fitted with another facelift. He then adds a simple question for viewers, “Does it work better than the stock look?”
The rendering keeps a double-cab body and short cargo bed, while the front fascia adopts Expedition cues almost fully. The grille shape, headlamp layout, and front bumper all shift toward sport utility vehicle design language. The result lands somewhere between factory logic and visual experiment, which seems intentional.
