Cupra places the Raval at the bottom of its range, both in size and price. Sales begin in summer, and the starting figure sits near 26,000 euros, equal to $30,355. No other Cupra enters lower.
The new hatch keeps much of the form first seen on the Urban Rebel concept from 2022. The front section uses a pointed nose, the roof drops toward the rear, and a new illuminated grille section changes the face compared with earlier concept previews. Cupra positions the car against the Renault 5 and Kia EV2.
Cabin layout follows a simple digital format, though one old-school detail stays. A 10.25-inch instrument display sits ahead of the driver, larger than in any earlier Cupra. Beside it sits a 12.9-inch touchscreen already used in the updated Born. Physical switches remain on the steering wheel and on the center console.
Volkswagen Group supplies the base architecture. The 2027 seats on the carmaker`s new MEB platform and features a front-wheel-drive system, the same on find on the small EVs across the group.
Trim count reaches four: Origin, V1, V2, and VZ. Battery and motor combinations also total four, spread across the range in different ways.
Origin starts with 113 horsepower, equal to 115 metric horsepower, together with the smaller battery pack. Another lower setup uses 133 horsepower and a 37 kWh battery using LFP, lithium-iron-phosphate chemistry. The official driving distance there reaches 185 miles, or 298 kilometers.
The larger pack stores 52 kWh and uses nickel-manganese-cobalt chemistry. In lower-power form, the range reaches 280 miles, listed as 450 kilometers.
V1 and V2 accept two output levels: 133 horsepower and 207 horsepower, respectively. Both trims accept either battery.
VZ sits above the rest. Output rises to 222 horsepower, equal to 225 metric horsepower, linked only to the larger battery. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes 7.0 seconds. Maximum speed reaches 108 mph.
Extra output cuts range, meaning that it drops down 250 miles, or 402 km.
Suspension changes arrive, too, though only on VZ, which received an updated suspension system, Volkswagen Dynamic Chassis Control Sport Adaptive dampers, and electronically limited-slip differential.
Production takes place in Barcelona at a Volkswagen Group plant. The model will stay away from the United States market.
